CURRENT VACANCIES

Experienced Architect needed in our Gloucestershire office

We are looking for an Architect to join our team. Key responsibilities would be:

•  Leading projects across all RIBA stages, including Contract Administration.
•  Liaising directly with private clients, local authorities and consultants.
•  Producing packages for planning, building control and construction.

Reporting to the Directors, the successful client needs to be:

•  A fully qualified, Part III architect with 3+ years previous project running experience across RIBA stages 0-7.
•  Design-focused with a passion for high quality contemporary detailing and materials.
•  An ‘all-rounder’ who can run their own projects whilst also leading and mentoring a small team.
•  Experienced in conservation/heritage projects.
•  Professional, presentable and hard-working.
•  Prepared to attend and represent the company at business and networking events.

With the following skills:

Essential:

•  Experience as a lead designer on all RIBA stages, including contract administration.
•  Excellent internal and external communication skills, both written and verbal.
•  Excellent relationship management skills.
•  Excellent CAD software skills (Vectorworks preferred).
•  Excellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects at once.
•  A full understanding of UK building regulations and planning policies.
•  Full UK driving licence and car.

Nice to have:

•  Previous experience of creating Design and Access and Heritage statements.
•  Conservation experience, particularly Conservation Accreditation.
•  Experience across multiple architectural sectors.
•  Experience of visual presentation and graphic skills using Adobe Suite.

In addition to the architectural position the candidate will be expected to take an active role in running the office and assisting in a management role. Also, to be prepared to ‘go above and beyond’ attending events, helping with marketing and demonstrating a committed attitude to the business.

Part II Architectural Assistant Vacancy

Due to an increased workload RRA Architects is offering an excellent opportunity for a Part II Architect to join its award winning architectural team.

We are recruiting for both our Gloucestershire and Herefordshire offices. The position will provide you with exposure to all RIBA stages within a range of project values and project sectors, including Residential, Commercial and Education. The role will involve you working on projects from conception through to completion.

Architectural Technologist or Technician Vacancy in Herefordshire or Gloucestershire

RRA Architects is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technician/Technologist to join its award winning architectural team due to increased work load.

We are recruiting for both our Gloucestershire and Herefordshire offices. The position will provide you with exposure to all RIBA stages within a range of project values and project sectors, including Residential, Commercial and Education. The role will involve you running and leading small to medium scale projects from conception through to completion.

The ideal candidate would have the following traits:

  • Proven track record in the delivery of architectural design
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations, UK technical standards/publications and legislation requirements
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines, as part of a team and autonomously
  • Excellent design and technical detailing ability and competent drafting skills in Vectorworks. Knowledge of Sketchup and AutoCAD would be beneficial
  • Ideally with previous UK practice experience
