Pip and Jim’s gets the green light

The Chancellor of the Diocese of Gloucester has passed judgement giving the go-ahead for RRA’s innovative new plans for the reordering of St. Philips and St. James Church, Leckhampton. The controversial plans made national news with it’s contemporary vision for the church with the removal of some of the Victorian pews. The Chancellor paid tribute to the Parish Council and design team, stating the application was a “… text book example of a well thought-out plan, meeting the needs and aspirations of an active worshipping community …”

After working on the project for nearly three years, RRAs Conservation Architect, Fred Hamer, welcomed the judgement, stating that, “it is great news after our extensive discussions with amenity societies and a long journey through the approvals process. We are now looking forward to the next stage.”
