Introducing our second project in two months with high end glazing packages being installed.  It is an exciting time for any project to see all the windows and doors being fitted. Exciting, but also a ‘hold your breath’ critical moment as this is the point at which the envelope of the building is enclosed – and generally signifies the ‘home run’ to nearing completion. Go back a century, or so, and glass was reserved just for windows to let light into a home – along with draughts and, on very cold days, even a layer of ice on the inside. A revolution began with double glazing. Invented in the USA in the 1930s, this only become widely available in the UK in the 1970’s. But from that point the glazing industry advanced with increasing momentum and today technology has rendered the previously considered impossible,

Old Meets New

Another of our projects recently finished in Gloucestershire is looking fabulous in the Autumn sunshine. Our client wanted to leave the original building relatively unchanged and remove an assortment of buildings previously extended to the rear to be replaced with a new structure.
The glazed link provides a new entrance whilst also allowing the original built form to be clearly visible. This leads into a spacious, open plan living area.
